Hi Sandman: Love this comp. It was my second exploration into modern surf andit is way cool. It's got a solid assortment of styles and sounds, ranging from the classic Ventures reverb to psycho-billy, thru garage punk Ramones style. Not a track on that I didn't like. There's power, energy, and excitement, the way you expect hard charging surf to be. Some of it was unexpected and surprizing, and it all works. Highly recommen ded on it's own and as a starter to explore other great surf bands. Same can be said about Smells Like Surf Spirit, too. That was new to me. Great stuff.
